The AMAZING Brett Garsed!

Hello All! :)

I was just poking around on YouTube and stumbled upon this gem (I guess it's a clip from Brett's Rock Improvisation 2 Instructional DVD.) This guy just KILLS me! Such melodies, articulation, tone, spot-on rhythm/timing, etc! He never seems to run out of ideas! Just when I thought I was fully blown-away, he busts out that slide-solo at the end which REALLY KILLED ME - LOL! Awesome stuff. :eek: :cool:

P.S. Now I know why Richard Lundmark always refers to Brett Garsed as The "AMAZING" Brett Garsed. He is correct!!! ;)

Wow i love his tome he is amazing!!

hehe! Not only is he AMAZING Bill! He also has the most AMAZING tone, clear, articulate yet so SMOOTH!
And his playing is so mature in lack of a better word. There are tons of guys that rip equally well to him, but phrasing and
note choice just puts him on a different planet altogether!
Didn't know he played Bogner these days, that's cool. I should get me this DVD I think!

PS: The slide end of this video has been out for a long time I realize, under the title "Got The Horn",
I've never seen the entire song though, thanks Bill!!!

Brett's slide work is also quite original! I haven't seen anyone else employ this level of slide playing in standard tuning, both his angling of the slide tube to play major thirds with perfect accuracy, and his use of both slide and fingers is amazing!
