There really isn't one song that I take alot of my techniques from. It would be a culmination of alot of stuff.

But for the most part, alot of how I play really came from Crushing Day by Joe Satriani. It really has everything you could want in a solo.

Thats a hard question to answer.

When I began learning fingerstyle alot of my technique was modeled around Joe Pass arrangements. I guess some of the techniques I picked up should be credited to him, but more of what I learnt was on the rhythmic side rather than pure techniqe.

Otherwise, most of the tunes I learn are played by brass instruments to begin with. So there is no guitar to copy/learn from really.

Song wise, there's no answer. But the 3 players I most closely sound like nowadays are Matt Bellamy, Steph Carpenter and David Gilmour.
