YouTube solo contest entry

There's another contest going on, so I decided to give it a try

Nice thread dude!

I was thinking about posting a similar topic to inform people of the competition.
I'm considering making my YouTube debut for this. I'm not competing for the win, but there are some great judges such as our own Tom Quayle, and Chris Feener. I'd be more than satisfied knowing they listened to my entry.

I think the backing track that they've put together is really cool, the chord progression is basic and not too challenging, but I really dig the beat and the funky Bassline.

Well done bro! Thanks for letting everyone know about the contest! This sounds like a straight-forward (like Ben alluded to!) Aeolian/Natural-Minor progression. I've always thought that these types of progressions make for excellent "shred" opportunities, but also great accompaniment for "melodies" too! ;)
