Got a case of GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) and got myself this one!
A Suhr Custom Modern Red Drip, love or hate the finish, but it's definitely not for the timid
(or as it was described by the retailer "It's the guitar equivilent to a Stripper with a PHD."

    Specs:
    - Alder Body
    - Maple neck with Maple fingberboard
    - No Face Dots, Modern Elliptical .780-.830 profile
    - 10-14" radius, Jumbo SS frets, 1.650" nut width
    - Buzz Feiten Tuning System
    - Gotoh Floyd Rose trem (recessed)
    - Sperzel Locking Tuners
    - Volume / Tone / 5-way switch
    - JST Aldrich Humbuckers
    - Red Drip Caster finish
    - Hardshell case

    Thumbs up

Wow Richard, that is stunning. And definitely quite a case of GAS indeed :-)

There must be some underground stream of money coming from Suhr to IG..

Actually, when I'm on the IG website, I can constantly hear some voice telling me to get a Suhr as well..mmmm ;-)

Hahaha! Maybe Sean is coding all the vids with subliminal messages from Suhr? :P
Jokes aside, just to be clear, me buying this guitar is in no way related to an endorsement (as in the case of Tom, Rick and so on),
I do not currently have any contact with the Suhr company. However, all the "buzz" about these guitars have made me curious to see what all the fuzz is about,
    hence the GAS-related purchase :P

But what about the Leqtique stuff, that's an endorsement right? I'm quite charmed by the sounds that you're able to produce in the review on YTube. Their website seems nowhere to be found though..

Yes, Leqtique certainly is. Shun has yet to build a website for his, his rep in Japan is such that he can't even keep up with domestic orders.
I know he's had well over a thousand MAR orders since that first demo was published, that's a lot for a guy doing all the work himself by hand.

However, he is going to expand with website's and such this year, and next NAMM 2012, I'll be there with him for his first overseas stunt!

If you are interested in purchasing one of his pedals, just email him at shunnokinadesign[at]gmail.com (tell him hi from me)

Great guitar. That's what I'm thinking of getting. I don't like the color but colors/looks don't matter to me. The specs on that thing are exactly what I'd want. Nothing like Alder for me.
