Hey Guys,
How you all doing?
I'll get straight to the point! I just purchased a Peavey PV®i 100 dynamic cardioid microphone. I want to record acoustic guitar using this mic straight into my M-Audio Audiophile sound interface. The sound card has RCA inputs. Which preamp is best suited for this? I did quite a bit of searching and landed up with the following:
* Behringer Micropower PS400 - This one claims to provide phantom power to a condenser microphone. Will this work with a dynamic one too?
* Behringer TUBE ULTRAGAIN MIC100 - Preamp
* MAudio Audio Buddy 2 Channel Preamp - preamp
I don't have a problem with cable connections and stuff. What I do want is that I can record acoustic guitar well. I'm looking at the Behringer Micropower first as its the cheapest solution and from there on the prices really start increasing!
Any help would be great!
