Sorry if you guys have already seen this, but thought I'd post it here. Metallica's video for the "The day that never comes" from their latest album.

    Beautiful video. Awesome song.

    It already leaked...

And I must say, it is a step in the right direction.

It is interesting. It has some good stuff that I liked from load, but still quite fresh and new. Also frankly I liked the drumming in this song. I like it.

    no such word as bestset
and there are plenty other albums out there kicking this one ass (including metallica's old ones)
or Rest in peace and all bunch of others..

but, It really is a great album in total..
and of course, better than ST. anger ... and all the latest..
as some one said, it really is a giant leap towards the right direction.. (but I guess without Cliff.. they will never go back to the good times...)

I was hoping they would make a thrash album again. i was very dissapointed. if you want REAL thrash, try Agent Orange by Sodom, Reign in blood by Slayer, or the king of all thrash albums Rust In Peace by Megadeth. Heck, try anything by those three bands. But death magnetic isn't thrash, unfortunately .
Edit: oh, and james's vocals on this song are painful.

Listened to the album streamed on their site. To be honest, it doesn't do much for me.

I actually really enjoyed a couple songs and parts here and there. But the majority of the stuff sounded cliche to my ears. And apologies to any Kirk Hammett fans, but I couldn't stand his lead playing on this album. That guy needs to branch out a bit and try to actually play a couple melodies in his solos!

I'll always love Metallica, but I definitely miss the good ol' days with them and their older stuff.
