Lesson Excerpt: Here's the intro section of the tune which is repeated again when the band enters and at the end after the drum solo. This line is created from a hybrid pentatonic scale - B minor Pentatonic with an added 6 (the note G#). This is a very common device used by notable guitarists such as Robben Ford and Wayne Krantz. I use hybrid picking here but feel free to use standard techniques to execute this funky pentatonic based line.
