A Metal Christmas - Part 1
Instructor: Chris Feener

We start with "Carol Of The Bells". Heavily based on the Trans-Siberian Orchestra metal arrangement of the song, here we feel the uplifting effects of some good ol' fashion classical composition. And again, the melodies should "ring a bell" once you start breaking down each individual section.

The main issue (on a technical level) in this section is the quick 16th alternate picking run in bars 9 through 13. This very scalar pattern incorporates some raised 7 notes in the second half (incline) so be sure to sectionize this one and make sure the over-all tonality of the scale "rings" true. Note: This part is not true to the original song, nor is the underlying chord progressions. These elements are just some refreshing spice!
