As some of you already know, I’m a drummer myself, so I really enjoy studying and watching other drummers. I discovered Bobby Jarzombek quite a few years ago. But I recently came across this promo video taken from his instructional DVD. This guy is just phenomenal!!! His coordination is amazing and his footwork is so controlled it’s not even funny.
Also, gotta love his drumset. I love how he utilizes cymbals that are directly behind him.
Check out the video! http://youtube.com/watch?v=TXpFrexDJ4A&feature=related
It has a few different songs on it. My favorite is at about 9 minutes in called “School”
Very cool stuff!

I posted this in the youtube video thread, so I myself know about Bobby and also about him being an amazing drummer. I don’t know any other drum even close to being half as good as he.
I’m just going to pick my jaw up from the floor :>O that was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone over at the JP forum turned me onto this clip a while ago. He is just insane isn’t he!?
Such a precise player. I play drums a bit too, so I can appreciate this for what it is. Stupidly good!
That’s really impressive. I watched it at work and it wasn’t until they showed his feet and I really clued in on the kick drumming that it went from “Neat, he’s got cymbals behind him” to “holy crap, this guy is incredible”.
Good link.
Pretty sweet vid.
Check this guy out. Nate Smith. Late last year we went and saw the Dave Holland Quintet and this guy shook the house. Unfortunately this vid doesn’t show much. Your ears will fill the gaps though š The solo he played for us blows all over this one too.
It starts a bit tentative, but watch it all.

Wow… Just WOW!!
He’s truly amazing. I got to know his brother first, hehe (Ron Jarzombek, great guitarist!). But those 2 guys are awesome! Both are very talented, interesting and innovative musicians.
