    well, trying to make some rhythmically similar ideas throughout the whole solo. As well as melody-wise similarity…

    Hi there!

    Well I can definitely hear an improvement in your phrasing. The practice is certainly paying off! I do this kind of practice all the time often using the same rhythmic idea for the entire solo. I’ll write a whole series of rhythms down and gradually work my way through them starting on different beats within the bar for variety.

    And I just realized the recording is kinda bad, I don’t know what went wrong with the mix there….sorry for that!

    Got alot of Santana influence in that.

    Sounds pretty good. I like the tone alot.

    Sounds awesome pekki. Could you give some advice on how to go about keeping all of my ideas rhythmically similar? All of my stuff just jumps around to what my brain wants to hear next and sometimes it has some nasty results.

    There are a lot of people who could advice you a lot better than me on this issue.

    But, for example.

    Take 5 notes from the pentatonic scale. Play them in a context of a solo and remember their rhythm value and how it cooperates with the backing track. Then repeat the same value of rhythm with other notes in the same solo. Then try to divide that rhythm in half. Etc etc…

    it’s a completely wide topic to discuss and I can’t be too helpful for you
