BTW, just out of curiousity, what pick do you use (brand, model, thickness, etc?) :confused: You have a very nice economical motion, (You, Rick Graham, Sean Conklin, and IG-member Elliot Noble {rubislaw} – all have picking motions/mechanics that I aspire to!) and it looks (from a distance – so I can’t really tell!) that you might be using Dunlop Jazz III’s? I’ve been using the Dunlop Jazz III-XL’s (They’re about the size of the Ibanez Picks.) for a few months now, and I’m really getting used to the tone and articulation…I believe the pointy & rigid Dunlop Jazz’s really force me to have better picking-technique/mechanics (which is the obvious & ultimate goal – duh?!? 😮 :rolleyes: 😎 – LOL!)

Let me know about your pick preference if you have a chance Tom, and again, great job! 😉

Bill funny you should ask. I have been using jazz III´s for the last 6-7 years but today I actually tried both the jazz III ultex and the Eric Johnson jazz III version. And I have to say I like them both. Now I just have to decided wich one to go with the next 6-7 years 🙂

Actually, I’m VERY interested in trying the Ultex material, but I just haven’t been able to get my hands on them in-person (I know, I know…INTERNET, right?!? :rolleyes: – LOL!) I think I’ll LOVE the Ultex version, and the “string-release” description I’ve heard makes sense to me! However, what’s the Eric Johnson Jazz III all about??? I never heard of it? :confused: 🙁 Funny that you mentioned Eric Johnson too, because I recently started listening to him more again, and he’s SO AMAZING! 😎 I recently saw a *Guthrie Govan interview on the net, and Guthrie cited Eric Johnson as one of his favorite “all-around/bang-for-your-buck” guitarists! 😉
