Here's another round of licks I'm visualizing using shapes as well as using intervallic pivot points (by ear) to gauge my position when phrasing my lines. Lick #1 is based on another 7th arpeggio shape. This like any other arpeggio can be transposed to a different shape thus chord quality as you move it through the scale diatonically. Lick #2 is based on another one of the same shapes as in the first video, only being tapped this time. We start with Gmaj7 then fall down to A7. The A7 arpeggio starts on the b7 degree. Analyze this shape and try it diatonically through the scale or key you are in. We are in the key in Emin. GO!
