Hi guys,

I am Angelo of Brazil. I play guitar since the age of 15. Now I have 43 years of age. I am an enthusiast of the electric guitar. I play in bands as a hobby, but decided to study further the guitar in 2009. I’ve been following the website since 2008 and the instructors are great!
The proposal of the infinite guitar is excellent! I learn a lot from you!

Thank you Sean.

I’m play in two bands. One band play Death/Black metal style, another band play alternative metal. It’s two diferent words, but i like the diversity of sounds!

I like metal, but dont close my ears from other guitar styles( fusion, jazz, blues, instrumental, etc..).

Hey that’s really cool man. Be sure to post some recordings if you have any! 😉 And I definitely agree with you regarding different styles. Every style you study compliments other styles, so it’s always good to get your feet wet in as many styles as possible.

Welcome aboard Infinite Guitar. I think you’ll love it here! This is a GREAT site, that is very informative, inspiring, and fun. I think you’ll find the instructors to be OUTSTANDING teachers AND players, and there’s plenty of diversity of styles here as well. The forums/threads are also a great place for discussion of technique, gear, or just about anything really! I think you’ll find the fellow IG members to be thoughtful, opinionated, but respectful of each other too. 😉

BTW, I thought it was interesting to note that you said that you started playing guitar when you were 15 years-old and now you’re 43, right? Well guess what? I am 43 years-old and I’ve been playing since I was 15!!! Imagine that! We’ve both been playing for exactly 28 years!!! (Although I think I should be much better IMO!!! – LOL!) 😮

One other thing Angelo. I’ve noticed (over the last year or two) how many GREAT guitarists there are from Brazil! Seriously, I’ve discovered several REALLY good guitarists from Brazil through my YouTube searches. It seems like there are a lot of Brazilian guitarists who are really into the “shred” and/or “metal” genres of music. DO you agree with that assessment? (Two “shred” guitarists I’ve noticed from Brazil – I think? are Gustavo Guerra and Tiago Della Vega!!!) Also, I think here at IG, we have an AWESOME guitarist who is a member, named Silvio Gasquez! (I’m NOT sure if he’s Brazilian, but I THINK he is?) Anyways, regardless of his homeland, check him out, because he can REALLY play!!! 😉

OK, I’m getting carried away with my words (I’m known for that! – LOL!) We’ll chat soon bro! 🙂

Hi, I’m Cliff and I’m new here, self taught and trying to advance in my playing as well as fill in the gaps. I play in a metal band in the Tri sate area and I live in new york city (ground zero) The plane went floating by my window after it crashed the other night!!

That plane crashing in the river was definitely amazing. Could have ended a lot worse. I’m so glad the pilot stayed focused and landed that thing how he did. So did you see the landing at all or see them pulling the plane out of the river?

I missed the landing itself but, it was moored across west side highway just opposite my building and I did see them pull it out ! I don’t think we’ll see anything like this for some time!! 😎

Thank you all for the comments. I sure learn a lot here. Billmedog, I play from 15 years old, but not play directly. I stopped playing for some 10 years and returned to active.

I knew Richard Lundmark in 2001 Paltalk chat. He is amazing, like Rick Grahan and the other instructors!

Enough of story! let’s play! LOL

hello people of infiniteguitar!!!! and all the guitar member in here!!!! I´ m from Nicaragua, and I play the guitar since I was 20 years old, right now Im 24 so I dont have much experience, I played in a band called Zafra, we play alternative rock fusion and we want to record our first album. I red about the contest of petrucci and Im going to try my skills. hope you like it!!!
