I’m looking at getting a Line 6 Spider IV 150 HD.

75×2 into 8 ohms

you HAVE to have both sides going. Its not 2 separate amps.

My concern is how much of a volume difference is going from 8ohms to 16. Will it sound half as loud?

I’m a big Opeth fan. I also like a lot of the european stuff. From bands like Soilwork and In Flames to the power metal stuff of Stratovarius, Kamelot, and Helloween.

I’m going thru a gear transition right now. Selling off some stuff I no longer have much use for. I recently “retired” from the local metal scene. Dont need so many guitars to play at home!

I’m sticking with my Jackson USA SL1 and a custom Ibanez S series guitar that I built.

I’m playing thru a Line 6 Spider Valve 2×12. I LOVE this amp.
