Hey guys! This Friday (March 21) i had my audition at Berklee! It was awesome! i did really good, except for the sight reading and the chords hehe 😀 but yeah i did good imo. The place is so amazing, loots of cool people from everywhere with all kinds of instruments and different approaches and thoughts about music, its an amazing place! The faculty is really nice and make you feel comfortable about the place!

Just wanted to share this with you guys, 🙂

That’s real cool man..

What did you do really? Did they just give you a couple of exams or what?

they asked me to play the piece that i had prepared for them (Im Alright – Neil Zaza). Then they asked me too sight read some stuff (wich i barely could get a couple of notes), then some chords. Then some Call-response ear exercises, rythmic exersises and they asked me to improvise with a Backing Track and that was it. 🙂

That is awesome. I want to go there also but I might attend a different school first (a local one). I live in MA so I am fairly close to Boston so hopefully someday I’ll get there!

Great to hear you think you did well. Keep working on what you think you need to improve in that they have tested you on! It will most likely benefit you.

That’s very cool man! Good luck! 🙂

I attended Berklee in 2002 for one of their week-long Guitar Sessions. It was really fun. I learned a lot that week. Probably one of my favorite experiences was meeting Dave Martone and seeing him live like 3 times that week. Martone is the man.

Wow man thats so cool! :O , Ive also heard that Steve Vai, John Petrucci and many others hang around there from time to time and you get to meet them, that is so awesome 😀

I wanted to attend Berklee some time ago but for foreign students it’s way too expensive! I guess i’ll have to continue as self-taught 😀 😀

Wish you a lot of luck m8! You’re a happy man if you get accepted – that place is UNREAL!

Thanks man! Yeah its true, that place is ridiculously expensive, if i dont manage to pay it or get it, ill continue as self taught too!
