I just thought I would post this because I just watched Sean’s lesson on his song Internal Life. It reminded me a lot of the band Blotted Science. Any progressive, Metal, Shred fans should check them out if you haven’t yet It’s great stuff.

Ron Jarzombek (the guitarist) has a few other projects/bands also which are worth checking out, so what are you waiting for? Tell me what you think!

    Cool stuff man!

I haven’t heard of Blotted Science. I’ll have to check them out. If my music reminded you of them, I’ll probably like them! šŸ™‚ A while back I know Ron was working on a project with drummer Chris Adler (who ended up backing out)…maybe that’s the project that became Blotted Science?

I’ll definitely go check them out. Thanks for the recommendation!

I’m not sure if that was it because i’m pretty new to the band and Ron’s music altogether for that matter.

But no problem for the recommendation!

Totally dig this stuff! I went to their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/blottedscience

Didn’t listen to all the songs, but the first 2 tracks are very cool, especially Laser Labotomy. Totally Ron’s style. I like this group a lot more than Spastic Ink too. Spastic was sweet, but just didn’t “groove” enough for me.

And yeah it looks like this drummer replaced Chris Adler, so it’s the same group I heard of a long time ago.

Thanks again! I’ll have to pick this album up.

All the Jarzombek brothers projects are good for an injection of technique and theory. It’s not something I can listen to for hours, but I enjoy it every once in a while.

I’m going to probably show my age here but nevermind!

I remember seeing Watchtower live in Bradford in (I think) 1990 – one of the most insane gigs ever – amazing musicians – especially Ron and bassist Doug Keyser.

I’ve got a few of Rons Spastic Ink CD’s – he’s an amazing musician – I wish Watchtower would get back together – I’m not holding my breath though!
