So I recently joined up with a local Milwaukee Thrash Metal band called “Hammered” and I must say things couldn’t be better!

All the guys are so warm and inviting, just truly the coolest guys you’ll ever meet. Unlike alot of metal bands out there today that like to get drunk and do drugs and just make alot of noise, they really care about the music. Seriously, we all had so much in common I remarked to the bassist “Man, I have been waiting for guys like you since f-ing High School!”

After meeting up with the bass player and other guitar player a few weeks ago to see what everything was about, they went over the songs they had, who they were, what they were all about, etc. and I came away duly impressed. I said “Ok, I’m sold guys… I’m in!”

So for the past week and a half I have been busy learning all their songs in preparation for my first gig with them next Saturday in Chicago.

Once we do a few more gigs and get the material down pat for me, we’ll start writing for our follow-up album. I’m already busy writing lyrics. haha

Congrats! The current CD has some good music. Always better to have two guitarists in a Thrash Metal band. All the best!

Thanks Sean. I’ve already given some of my Lyrics to Mike the other guitar player and he so far loves them and tells me to keep writing. I also need to start writing some stuff for these guys.

Alas, we ended up having to cancel the Chicago show for this Saturday because we really are not ready yet. According to Mike, if we’re gonna play out again, we need to be PERFECT. Which is fine with me because now I can write some killer solos for the songs and put my own stamp on things. 😀

I just wish they would have put a better pic of me on our myspace. I look like a tool. hahaha

Luckily on Tuesday we took a bunch of pictures of the website and changes everyone’s profile pic on there. Now I don’t look like such a dink. haha

Awesome.

I too recently joined an “in progress, 1 guitar thrash band” More power/thrash than just straight thrash.

I look forward to checking this out. I cant get to myspace on this pc (work) so I’ll check later.

Is it still going well for you?
