Ah Nice Man, Looks great so far ! šŸ˜€

Is it possible that you would post the GP5’s on either here or the Guthrie Forum ?

    Regards – John

    hey dude

Ill get round to it, the only reason i didnt do that straight away is because i knew they would go straight in ultimate guitar thus bypassing the Guthrie forum and the name association

but as predicted people have already replied letting me know they are ‘kindly’ inputting them into Guitar Pro to upload to UG….

Well thanks for sharing anyway Levi – for what it’s worth you’re doing a great job and it’s almost inevitable that GP files end up on UG…

    Hey Levi, šŸ™‚

Thanks so much for sharing your hard work on the Guthrie Govan transcriptions with us all. I haven’t had a lot of time to dig into much of it yet, but since I had been intending on tackling the song “Eric” in the near future, your work should prove very valuable to me! Furthermore, since I had already learned all of the non-solo sections of “Fives,” (although I prefer the live YouTube/BluesJamTracks-Bonus Version of Guthrie’s performance personally!) I figure it’ll be interesting to compare my “slightly-altered” BluesJamTracks/Adrian Clark Transcription to your’s!!! šŸ˜Ž

I can certainly understand your wanting people to know that it was your work once your transcriptions start getting duplicated and/or “spread-around” (like in GP format on UG!) I felt similarly after I spent a lot of time/effort (not nearly the scope of your project by any means though!) on my transcription of Tom Quayle’s “G-Minor Rock-Fusion Improvisation” which he performed/posted in August-of-2009 onYouTube as a demonstration of his (then) new Suhr guitar. However, after I thought about it a bit, I came to the conclusion that since I had embarked on that project purely for the “love-of-it,” without any expectation of compensation, then I was perfectly happy to have just received some positive feedback from those who checked it out and/or downloaded it. I also felt good about the idea of having “paid-it-forward” (so-to-speak!”) through helping those interested in learning to play a bit in Tom’s style. Furthermore, I learned so much in general from the transcription-project, that I had no regrets, and subsequently, I wouldn’t have taken it back even if NO ONE had downloaded it and/or commented to me about it – LOL! šŸ˜‰

So anyways Levi, I figured I’d try to help you put some of your thoughts/sentiments regarding your transcription-project into perspective a bit. It is my belief that after some time passes, you’ll probably feel a little less “under-appreciated,” and perhaps even be able to remain objective enough to feel proud of your own accomplishments, as well as feel great about the prospect of helping other fans of Guthrie’s playing & compositions! šŸ˜Ž

For what it’s worth, I think you have a terrific attitude towards the whole thing, and I think that will bode well for your preparation of future projects, should you choose to tackle such projects in the future (for selfish reasons of my own, I sure hope that you do – LOL!) šŸ˜‰

Thanks again for providing these awesome resources to us fans of the amazing Guthrie Govan. You have plenty to be proud of! šŸ˜Ž

P.S. I DID have a chance to check out some of your rock band’s (Hellcat Molly) live performances, and I thought some of it was quite excellent! I also checked out some of your internet guitar-tutorial material, and I thought that the material I checked out was superbly explained/articulated and demonstrated as well. Great job! šŸ˜‰

BTW, didn’t your original post/thread here in the Infinite Guitar Forums include a link to your band Hellcat Molly as well as a link to some of teaching/lesson material? If so, then I suppose I can understand the need to NOT include the latter (since it presents a direct conflict with the purpose/intent of THIS site – Infinite Guitar.) However, what was the harm in linking to Hellcat Molly performances. I’m confused? Am I wrong about your initial thread here??? Help enlighten me mate! – LOL!

    Best regards,

    ~Bill Meehan~ šŸ˜€
