    Dude, Rick.

You really need to calm down with all that studio equipment in there. WAY too much going on. I mean, do you really need all that stuff? I think you need to go back to the basics. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here’s my temporary studio/practice room. Notice the most important thing?…THE DRILL!

I quit my band a few months after me and my dad had worked a couple of weeks on my bands practice room. Sometimes I miss it though. The room looked/looks like this, though a few things was changed after the pics was taken:

As you can see, we had a small room with refridgerator too, couch, table and whatever – a relaxation-room, for when we wanted a break. Split with the band because it was mainly only me and a drummer, me being the “brain” behind what we played. As said in another thread I’m kinda suffering from a writer’s block and haven’t written anything for a year, so I decided to call it off, as I didn’t really feel like it anymore, as well as us never getting anywhere – musically or gig-ically.

The room looked like this before me and my dad put in our work:

I miss those weeks working along side my dad on such a project, actually.

Now I dedicate myself to making music at home and hopefully I’ll get rid of that ugly block-creature and re-find inspiration for writing my Magnus Opus ๐Ÿ˜‰

My “practice” room now looks like this:

Got a pretty nice mic and some other stuff lying around.

    Cool pics guys!

Rick, your setup is totally killer.

Cael, you and your dad did a great job. Huge difference! I used to have that same GT-6 pedal a few years back. Also, gotta love the Wild Stringdom book. ๐Ÿ™‚ And nice kit too!

Hahahaha……………….Yeah man, its all that GASing that does it :p

    Thanks, Sean!

I really want to move on from the GT-6, because at times I find that it’s holding me back tone-wise. Sure it’s the playing that counts, but a good tone can help improve playing confidence etc. I just don’t really have a whole lot of money to go out and buy something different at the very moment.

I kinda miss playing with the drummer who owned the kit. It was fun and we played very technical(ly) (and) progressive music. But as said we didn’t get anywhere really. After having played for 1ยฝ year we had a whole lot of 30 sec pieces that wouldn’t fit together. I geuss it’s more difficult when you’re only a guitarist and a drummer.

I own quite a lot of books like that. Mainly use them for inspiration to exercises – I like to make up my own. Haha. Maybe a waste of money then, but that’s too late now.

I can honestly say that I envy you, Rick. Wanna trade? Hahaha…

The first pic? Yeah sure!……….that roller is top of the range :p

Hey Cael, cool transformation there! Which model is the laney in the pic?

The old intel imac and some rack gear. Notice the lack of guitars? I sold em to get that stuff…………

    No, not the roller! ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyways, it’s just the cheapest of the cheapest. Bought it some years back. MXD120, I think it’s called. It’s not the best, but as said, it’s fairly cheap and does it’s job. I don’t use it much anymore, because I’m just playing at home with my headphones, but I’ll keep it in case I join a band in the near future. Some day, I tell you, some day I’ll buy myself a nicer stack and then I’ve always wanted the Ibanez JPM P1 guitar. Some day (in a far too distant future)…

And thanks about the room. It turned out far better than I had dreamed of. Too be honest though, I hate being reminded that I quit my band and that I can’t write music anymore ๐Ÿ˜‰ (Well, I can, but everything I write I dislike after listening to it 4 times…and then it doesn’t matter what other people say about it..)

Okey here’s my corner of the world.
COuldn’t fit all the guitar gear in at one pic (but the rest is mostly junk anyways so).
    The setup is as follows:
Intel Imac 20″ (also have a Intel Macbook Pro not pictured here)
    Alesis M1Active 520 monitors
    Line6 GX Toneport
    Panasonic NV-GS300 DV camera
Assorted junk such as Red Stripe Beer (Hooray Beer!)

My 2 Flaxwood models (one black ร„ijรค and my own Richard Lundmark model)
    EPiphone LEs Paul
Ibanez Jem77FP (really battered and bruised!)
Gibson Les Paul 1978 (even more battered and bruised, but hey, the guitar is almost as old as I am lol)
Elmwood BonneVille 50 combo with Alnico Gold speaker.
    BOSS OC2 Octave pedal
    BOSS RC-2 Loop Pedal
    VOX V847 Wah pedal
Electro Harmonix El Nano LPB-1 Boost pedal (not featured here, but a KILLER!!!)
In the metalbox on the amp are soem picks (amongs others a really cool made out of Mammoth Tusk (no joke!),
some other of buffalo bone, Lignum Vitae and so forth).
oh, and yeah, pictures! (the horrid wallpaper will be changed for a cool grey one soon)

That’s definitely something new i would love to try ๐Ÿ™‚
