MANCHESTER, N.H. – A New Hampshire man says he swiped his debit card at a gas station to buy a pack of cigarettes and was charged over $23 quadrillion dollars.

Josh Muszynski checked his account online a few hours later and saw the 17-digit number, a stunning $23,148,855,308,184,500. That’s twenty-three quadrillion, one hundred forty-eight trillion, eight hundred fifty-five billion, three hundred eight million, one hundred eighty-four thousand, five hundred dollars.

Muszynski says he spent two hours on the phone with Bank of America trying to sort out the string of numbers and the $15 overdraft fee.

The bank corrected the error the next day.

Bank of America tells WMUR-TV only the card issuer, Visa, could answer questions. Visa, in turn, referred questions to the bank.

That is crazy! Maybe he should take that as a sign to stop smoking. šŸ˜€

    Hey Sean, šŸ™‚

LMFAO over your closing statement: “Maybe he should take this as a sign to stop smoking!” Perfect Sean! šŸ˜‰

BTW, take it from someone whose Dad died from Emphezyma. šŸ™ When you die gasping for air while hooked-up to an oxygen-tank 24/7/365, you may as well be $23,148,855,308,184,500. in debt!!!

I implore anyone with the vile habit of smoking cigarettes to do yourselves a favor and immediately improve the quality AND length of your lives by quitting smoking! Sorry to be so preachy, but I’ve lost a few loved ones to Lung-Cancer, and it’s no fun. šŸ˜”

Besides, when you quit smoking, you can spend all that time previously spent on “butt-breaks” practicing/woodshedding all the cool Infinite Guitar lessons/tutorials! šŸ˜€ Right?!? šŸ˜‰

    Best of luck! šŸ˜Ž

IMO, this is simply a proof that the banking systems are geared enough to handle large numbers. ha ha.

p.s. Smoking is good! As Ayn Rand stated – ‘Its a demonstration of man’s control over fire” šŸ˜€

    Hey Rohan, šŸ™‚

Maybe I ought to reconsider my “hardline-stance” on smoking…Shawn Lane (R.I.P.) was and Guthrie Govan is a chain-smoker! If someone told me that I could play like either of them if I smoked 3-packs-a-day, I’d have to seriously consider it! (LOL!) :p šŸ˜® šŸ˜‰

P.S. Although my instincts tell me that their abilities had/have more to do with their musical-genius, passion, and a 10-12 hour-a-day guitar-habit rather than the cigarettes they smoked! (LOL!) šŸ˜Ž

Ayn Rand… that girl knew how to smoke but I never knew her to shred!
Who is John Galt? Go Atlas!

I’m sure smoking has absolutely nothing to do with guitar playing!

And smoking is not good. Nicotine is addictive and extremely time wasting. Been smoking for more than ten years and really sick of it. šŸ™‚

    Hey Rick, šŸ™‚

So they’re on the lam, huh?!?:cool: Wow! It’s hard to feel sorry for the bank, but these people should’ve done the right thing, because they will get caught and they will get in trouble! It’s inevitable! :p šŸ™‚

Thanks for posting this funny and interesting story! šŸ˜‰
