Well; here’s mine – Suhr Pro S3 – my only guitar at the moment but I am so happy with it! It just feels amazing – I don’t have to think at all about the guitar when I’m playing – great action, nice neck, amazing sounding pick ups – it’s my baby!

What do you think about the VBT700? I’m a big fan of king V’s and this looks like a pretty sweet pick up considering you can get in and out at $500 off ebay these days for neck thru/d’activators.

Honestly I havn’t played it enough to give some huge insight. Here’s the skinny:

I want a baritone guitar. I don’t mean a guitar with 7 strings on it… I mean baritone = extended scale. Tell me what optiones there are out there. Here’s the ones I know of and their respective scale.

    Ibanez MMM1 = 28′ scale 22 frets
    Schecter C-1 EX 26.5″ 24 frets
Agile AL Baritone 27″ 22 frets
    Agile AB-3500 Baritone 28″ 24 frets
    ESP MHB-400 27″ 24 frets

There aren’t many baritone offerings unless you have something custom made. I’m still on the fence on what to get. A 27″ scale still might not give me enough string tension tuning down to drop B or drop A with 10’s or 11’s. On the other hand I don’t necesarly trust any of the 28″ options. I’ve heard lots of BAD things about ibanez’s MMM1, and I’ve never played one, so I wouldn’t pay that much for something I have doubts in.

The ESP is just the most logical choice for a baritone. I just wonder if it would be good for anything other than metal. There’s a lot of variety in my playing and I doubt it could do all I need it to do to become a main axe for me. Might be worth having just for metal shows though.
