I recently started working on a new tune. I think I will use this as a part of my audition when it gets finished… this is just a work in progress. Not sure yet how to continue it…maybe some suggestions?
the sound is soso, but hope you get the idea. Would be awsome to get some feedback as well:)

    Hi mate!

    Great writing.

I agree with you on the sound quality – if you could get a really high quality recording of this it’d be awesome. It reminds me of a Jean Luc Ponty album called Cosmic Messenger. It’s a great album so that’s a good thing!

I’m not a good person to comment on how to continue it. I have around 70 or so ideas on my harddrive that are works in progress (no kidding!) and I’m not sure if I’ll finish any of them. I’m currently writing for my first album and finding it very hard to complete anything although I have plenty of ideas!

    What’s the audition for?

I am planning to try my luck at two different music conservatories here in norway. The ones that arnt too traditional with regards to music. So I must work hard to make this as good as possible. Have never heard of that album you mentioned, but you can be sure of that I will be checking that out!:)
well, then I guess you and me are kinda alike..I also have many ideas laying around my heard drive, not 70 (!!), but at least 10-20. I find it much easier to write short pieces, almost spontantiosly, then following it up and expand upon it. Awsome to get some feedback from a guy I have so much respect for. I wish you jolly good luck with your album. I am looking forward to transcribe some of it:)
I am considering to subscribe on this site because of your lessons here. If I get some money I will definitely check your videos out. Fretboard understanding and improvisation is what I work most with..even though it can be pretty hard and dull work sometimes:) so, your thoughts on that matter is something that really interests me.
