    First off, I bought a Dean Vendetta XM a while back for 70 bucks and it is AMAZING, especially for the price. I was shocked at how good it sounds. I also use my dad’s old ’85 Fender Strat, but since its sound is pretty unique, there are certain things that I play that dont sound quite right on it. I have been becoming increasingly serious about my playing and about joining a friends band, and I have the money to by this Ibanez I want, but is it really worth spending $450, or should I just keep using the Strat and the Dean?

    A Dean for 70 bucks? Wow! Sounds like you scored a deal.

    Have you personally played the Ibanez that you’re wanting? I’d say if you have the money, it feels right in your hands, and you like the sound, I’d say go for it.

    What model Ibanez are you thinking about getting?

    I’ve always owned Ibanez guitars as my main instruments and they’ve been great! Admittedly I’m soon gonna upgrade to a custom made machine from Xotic but I’ll keep the Ibanez as it’s never given me a days trouble. It sounds and plays great too.

    I’m sure you’re pretty safe with an Ibanez. I’d say go with Sean’s advice. If a guitar feels right and sounds good go for it!

    Thanks guys for the advice! And Sean, I have played the guitar and it feels wonderful, but Im just a little scared to get it because I’ll have this multitude of guitars laying around my room, and I try to play them all to keep the strings loose. I think Im going to get it anyways, I just hope its still there… And its a RG Prestige 2-something, I cant remember the exact model number off the top of my head. If I get it I’ll be sure to post some pictures, its got a really pretty sweet blue-tiger kinda color

    Good luck with your guitar choice. I’m VERY happy with my Ibanez (it’s a Team J-Craft Prestige RG1570 Model.) I love it!
