I do the same thing… spend most of my time writitng my own music, and alot of times the music in my head is hard for me to play.. Ive been trying to limit my time composing so i can practice other things
This metallica song beginning sounds alot like mercyful fates song into the coven… Into the coven was recorded a year before this metallica song came out…

Your mental age is more important than anything. As long as you have the energy and enthusiasm to give to it then you can play it .
Well if mental age is important than im all good… I still do poo jokes with my son all the time, watch cartoons, and play video games… I think like a 20 year old, just im about 40… time goes by way too fast
