I was actually speaking with my arranging teacher the other day about the exact same thing. More so about the kind of money involved. I dont know if this is the going rate now days but he said he used to get paid $15 a bar.
And yea, you probably wont go better than a job with Hal/Leonard.

I had talked to my teacher about it when he had worked there and he said that he was paid about $25 a page. Which to me is alot better than working for minimum wage at a grocery store, like I did for 2 and a half years.
But $15 a bar? Jeez, that’s good.

Another Won – Dream Theater
Which is kinda odd because I’ve been on a Devy kick lately. I downloaded his Physicist album as well as all the SYL albums. Now I am debating which albums by Sodom I should get.

I will tell you, you will NOT be disappointed.
I first saw Dream Theater last august on my 20th birthday. Greatest single day of my life (so far)Everything was great. I managed to meet Mike Portnoy earlier in the day at a meet and greet at CASICO Interstate Music, and got some stuff autographed (one being my right arm!) and got a pic with him. I then went to the show and got to meet the band and everything. Got a buncha pics of that, as well as the opportunity to mingle with the band and talk to each member. I then got to see them front row later on that night with a bunch of my friends who had come along.
Here are some pics I have from that day…
I am hopefully going to see them again later this month on the Progressive Nation tour in Chicago.

I saw them live twice already and can say that Dave and Co. put on a hell of a show. I can’t wait to see them with Broderick in the fold.

Yeah, I can’t focus anymore tonight so I’m just gonna mellow out to some easier stuff.
…I might even persuade our jazz band to do this song live. It’s mellow enough. Plus I’m sure Andy could put some killer sax lines on it.
