Well I was a frequent poster on the old forums for all of… a few months maybe then the forums were closed during site renovation. I’d kept looking for updates now and again but then just forgot to keep looking.

Well I’d been listening to TQT last weekend and thought of Sean and some of his old work like repetition and thought of this site. So I’m back. I sit at the computer all day at work so odds are I’ll have time to post here and there. I’m still playing guitar at church every Sunday with practices on teusdays (always writing and learning new material, anything but sterile). I’ve also go an acoustic gig comming up for a book signing. Got some new fans that really like my solo acoustic stuff. People tell me I need to record a CD. Maybe I should put something together finally.

Work now has me busy taking up a huge chunck of my time, and I also have a girlfriend I’ve been dating now for over 9 months so she takes up a lot of the free time I have left.

I’m still dead set on my next amp being a carvin V3 and I should have the money for it in the forseeable future as long as no unexpected expenses come up. Though there is one amp that’s cast a shadow of a doubt, it’s the new egnater 4100 tourmaster. Goes down to 10 watts and the power options is selectable on each of the 4 channels. Pretty awesome. Doesn’t have the girth the V3 does though, and just doesn’t feel as well polished. It IS good though.

I’ve got a few reviews published now on guitargearheads.com, which is where I spend most of my forum time currently. I look forward to doing more reviews for them in the future.

I’m very unsure what my next axe purchase will be. I really want something that’s extended scale, but I’ve played so many righteous guitars lately, one of which being the new Ibanez V. There’s just too many great guitars out there. I still want a les paul type guitar again, maybe an agile like my last one. I really like the epiphone LP Ultra II though. Again, too many options.

I find I don’t really play enough, and yet somehow I still feel like I progress substantially every 6 months. Every time I turn around I can tell I can visualize chord patters up the neck easier, and I can find my scales that much better. I find myself adding tension into songs that make everyone go “wow”, and that’s a good feeling. Closer yet are my hands getting to what my ears can hear, but so far have they yet to go.

So I think that’s a good background on me. Glad to be back everyone.
