Hey Sean! I’m a huge metalhead, and some of my favourite bands are Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Iced Earth, Insomnium, Be’lakor, Omnium Gatherum (you can see i really like the traditional, thrash and melodic death metal styles š )
I’ve learned songs from all these bands, but usually just rhythm guitar. I’ve managed to learn the solos for Paranoid and Iron Man.
Currently what I want to learn is scales across the neck, some basic music theory and developing my ear, before focusing more on technique. I just completed Chris Feener’s “Unlock The Fretboard” and I thought it was great.
Any advice? š
