    Hi!

Yeah, another wannabe rocker… Well… gotta start somewhere, heheh 🙂

My name is Marko. I was born in Zagreb, (like my friend pekki – Croatia).
21 years old… Many years, since I was little (don´t remember exactly when I started..) I am listening to rock music. Later on I discovered and attached to several sorts of metal (heavy, power, simphony..), but Rock is always main part of this case.

It was allways my dream to be enable to play guitar, but never before had a chance to afford one. Actually I bought my first guitar just one month ago. It´s acoustic guitar, the Eko, Ranger 6 model.. To be exact… this one; http://eko.it/international/prAcRanger63TSun.htm

I think It´s good enough to start with, and to play with friends on some occasions.

Though, I am experiencing some slight problems with the strings but… It probably takes some time to see is it wrong handling and lack of experience or some real string issue..

To be honest, there is not much that I can “really play” at this time, but I´m really looking foward to learn and play as best as I can 🙂

btw. Site is great, keep up the good work! 😉

The toughest months are ahead of you, but let them be the most addictive months, not most disparing months.

Many people pick up the guitar only to quit in a year or so because “it was too difficult/hard”. Well they obviously didn’t try hard enough, or tried in the wrong ways.

Find easier stuff to play, take off small bites that you can actually chew and marvel at the progress. Don’t just get bored and put the instrument down after 10 minutes. Find something to enjoy doing on the guitar and keep playing for hours on end (as long as you don’t develop any joint or tendon pains).

Welcome to IG, hope you’re love of the instrument only gets stronger.

Thanks! I understand that very well. Even at this earlyest stage I´ve picked up some famous songs that I like, and tried to play them but after few hours of trying I think to myself: “this is impossible”, “I can´t play that”… But then I realized It´s obvious I´m doing something completely wrong… So I found some solutions and that´s the way I will progress… I know It´s hard right from the start. I am well aware of that.

If not, anyone could play guitar right? 🙂

I didn´t thiked twice when I went to store to buy this guitar, and I will not let it go that easily 😉

But I do have in plan to get electric guitar for couple of years when I´m ready 😀

    Welcome
Wish you the best of luck on learning guitar.Best advice i can give you is practice is the key to anything and if you want to be able to play something all you have to do is repeat it over and over again until its correct.
