Hello All! š
Every now and again I like to remind myself (and others!) what a sheer sense of virtuosity, passion, and fun Tommy Emmanuel brings to the table EVERY time he plays guitar! He is the consummate professional as a musician AND as an entertainer, and he NEVER seems to forget that music can and should be fun! š š Sure there are times to be serious depending on the genre of music, the lyrical content – if there are vocals – and the overall mood of the music. However, I think that sometimes, some of the musicians whom most would consider virtuosos (and I’m NOT gonna mention names, because it’s not important, and I adore and enjoy most of the musicians who I’m referring to anyways – LOL!) sometimes take themselves and their music a bit too seriously. š
Anyways, lets enjoy a little clip here of the amazing Tommy Emmanuel as he talks about his blues influences and specifically one of the first songs he ever learned (which he still performs) at a clinic back in 2007. š
