Beginner's 15 Minute Picking Workout - Concept

Steve Hubbard 107 lessons

The main obective for this lesson is to teach a workout plan, similar to that which a bodybuilder would use for a weight lifting day at the gym. Basically, we will be working on 5 exercises, 3 of which are essential for right-hand chops. Our objective here is clear: to increase speed, dexterity, and overall control.

Tips and points to mention:

- Stretch and do perform a warm-up before working on these exercises.
- Use a 'stiff' or 'hard' pick. (I personally use a Dunlop Jazz III)
- Focus on speed, as well as timing. You could stress one as being more important than the other. Personally, I use this drill to increase my overall speed.
