Great analysis! Yeah, I cracked up on the reach over also! Talented players for sure.
I’ve been quite busy with work and now just getting back to some playing. Hope to be in the forums more in the upcoming months.
Looks like a missed a lot of great lessons!
Enjoy your holidays as well, and be sure to behave!!! HA!

September 25, 2009 at 1:49 am #22915hscalfoParticipantODST is in the house. My son and I played last night and had a good time. The music is fresh and edgier that H3 (IMO) and the overall game sound seems better also (5.1).
I suck at these games but like to unwind now and then with some mindless fun. This fits the bill.
xbox id is Daddio4t4 if you ever want to beat the snot out of me online.September 4, 2009 at 11:02 pm #22786hscalfoParticipant@Sean Conklin 8684 wrote:
District 9
Really heavy and amazing film. The language and violence was excessive, but this is a sci-fi movie with TONS of depth. Really makes you think. I was very surprised how emotionally heavy the movie turned out to be. It also had killer CGI, and I heard they made the film on only a 30 million dollar budget. When you watch it you’d think they spent way more.
Another cool thing is apparently the director and lead actor are completely new to the major film scene. Some great new talent.
If you have a strong stomach, I’d recommend seeing this film at least once. You won’t easily forget it.
Wow! I just let my 15 year old son see that the other day. He said it was an awesome story but to bloody violent. I thought he was simply exaggerating. Oooops!

August 17, 2009 at 5:29 pm #22655hscalfoParticipantOne of my friends actually got to visit Les in Les’s home and got a personal tour of all the technology Les brought to life! Les even allowed photos of some of his historic inventions.
Not being able to do this myself, I found the movie; “Les Paul Chasing Sound!” to fantastic.

A very recent documentary about Les with Les himself showing his home and inventions. Also him jamming at the Iridium Jazz Club where he played every Monday night up until his death.
http://iridiumjazzclub.com/The film gave me an even greater appreciation and respect for an amazing man.

July 8, 2009 at 7:19 pm #22211hscalfoParticipantI use audio books from Audible.com. Throw them on my iPod and away I go.
So driving time becomes learning / reading time. Its a great way to keep up on books of interest. Typically knock out 2 books a month and have completed over 300 thus far.Just finished and was extremely impressed with the following books:
The Talent Code: Greatness Isn’t Born. It’s Grown. by Daniel Coyle / Someone on this site first recommended it. Teachers, managers and parents should check this out.The Housing Boom and Bust by Thomas Sowell / An eye opening account into the major contributing factors to the current financial debacle here in the US. These reasons are often never cited by politicians or pundits.
Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen by Christopher McDougall. / This book is absolutely fascinating and you do not have to be a runner to appreciate it. Just look at the reviews on Amazon. The Audio version was masterfully narrated and kept me sitting in my car listening even after I arrived at my destination. It’s really that good.
