Picked it up this weekend (360) finally and couldn’t put it down. After binge playing I ended up making it to lvl 37 after lots and lots of playing. (lots and lots).

    Any other COD4 players?

and I rather disliked all of the other COD games, but they got most everything right in this one (martyrdom is kind of stupid, but it is avoidable).

I just bought an xbox360 saturday lol. but right now i only have one game. (halo3) when i pick up call of duty ill let u kno. iv played it and it rules

Yeah I got it, Awesome game i must say, Online im 55 Second Prestige, and dont plan on going Prestige again, Colorful symbols arent enough to sway me.

As for Martyrdom, i dont mind it, every time i see that grenade indicator i just run. I hate last stand, cause if you knock them into last stand, retarded team mates can steal your kills.

I found that COD4 doesn’t stand up to the depth and control you have in other shooter games of late. I really dislike the fact that it’s basically “fire sidestep behind a wall run”, whereas something like Gears of War has a cover system that really makes you think about your surroundings. I feel it’s just the same old, tired, worn out formula with a fancy new paintjob.

COD4 is great for me! The gameplay is fast, you don’t have to search for your target for half an hour like in BF2 so i’m having great fun with it with my friends šŸ™‚

COD4 is a barrel of fun. I picked it up yesterday in fact and have had a hard time turning it off.

To be honest the multiplayer aspect of it seems a bit much like CSS so far. The camping/sniping nature of it doesn’t appeal to me so much. I preffer FPS where you allways know where your enemy are and its more a matter of strategy than just sitting and waiting for someone to pop their head up.

Single player is amazing though. It feels like I’m watching a movie half the time.

I got my hand on the game Crysis, which is also a FPS. Has anyone tried both of them? If so, how do these compare to each other?

I completed Crysis single player – never tried multiplayer! Crysis to me was a bit…strange!? Yeah – it was a bit strange! I like COD4 much more than Crysis!

Hmm. I got a PS3, if I haven’t mentioned it already, so I could buy it and have a great time with it, but I am quite unsure of whether it is my type of game. How about the controls, the diversity of gameplay etc?

wow, such a good game.. but short…
I got it when it was just out, finished it in about 2-3 days
now I play multiplayer from time to time..

    about crysis…
crysis graphics are a lot better, although COD4 got a really nice touch..
their both good at their field, but Crysis is probably the best and “heaviest” game out there right now..

I think I prefer the gameplay of COD.. but that just a personal issue…
If my computer was able to run Crysis (and not on mini-minimum lol) then I would have buy/download it..

My computer runs crysis just fine at 1440×900 at high settings with 4xAA, however I sometimes get strange flickering and colour problems, but only when in Shield Mode and when the energy level of that hits below 20.

Man i thought it was something fresh finally.

Gears for some reason i cant stand online, Its so slow and short. You die, wait for game to end, then go again. Nothing beats the rush of Domination on COD4, love it, Fast action, bombs going off everywhere!!

“fire, sidestep behind a wall, run”

lol, That would just get me killed, if you know how to aim real well, those sidesteppers fall nicely into your bullets šŸ˜€

I know what you mean maate. The fast action game is quite fun online or with friends. But to me, a decent FPS isn’t just about being quick. I feel like COD is more like a competition of who has the fastest reactions and who can press a button quickest, whereas other format shooters seem to have much more to them, and actually relate more to where/when they are set. It just seems to me that you could take COD4, put any other time/place/situation ‘skin’ on it, and it’d be the same. For me, (sorry to refer to it again but) GoW is so much more. It just seems that COD got raped when it went into the “Super nerd” territory, where everyone who played it online was so good at it it was like they were playing just to be good, not because they liked the game (I’m talking more of the COD1/2 era)

Sorry about the rant, I’m slightly drunk and really don’t like COD4 :p
