    Hello everyone!
I’ve been lurking around here for quite a while, but I think it’s about time to introduce myself. Now’s as good as ever, and I’ve nothing better to do at the moment.

I’ve been playing guitar for five (or maybe six, who knows ; ) years by now, picking up the guitar after a few guys (and a girl!) in my year wanted to play some music.
The first two songs I performed were “The bard’s song – in the forest” and “The bard’s song – the hobbit” about a half year later, and since then (except last year) I’ve been playing an hour or so every day.
After that performance one of my friends told me how good it is to have a teacher and gave me the number to the very same Richard Lundmark that’s instructing here! (and it was through him I found this site)

I guess this shouldn’t be an autobiography, so I’ll just provide further information as answers to the curious.

My primary influences (both technique and musical style) are Arjen Lucassen, Eric Johnson, Richard Lundmark (I learned my technique from him, how could I not have him here? ; ), John Petrucci, and to a certain extent Steve Vai, Nuno Bettencourt, Fredrik Thordendal (and Meshuggah), Ronni Lé Tekrø (from his time in Vagabond) and probably many more.

See you around the forums! : )

Glad you’re here Aewrik! You’ve got some great influences there (Richard being one of them of course;)) Also glad to see another Meshuggah fan. Love those guys!

Welcome! Välkommen, Hos geldin! and so on 🙂 Hope you learn alot of good stuff on the site 🙂 (And if you don’t, I know where you live! hehe.. *breaks out the ‘ol “ruler-on the knuckles-routine”* 🙂

    *gulp* ^_^

I’ve been practicing alot of Sean Conklin’s “cool riffs” lessons. Great fun playing “more than one string per stroke”, so to speak : )
Also practicing time signatures (more than I already know) now… we’ll see how much I’ve learned about that after summer’s over!
