Major Scales Simplified

Nick Granville 14 lessons

In this lesson, I cover a simple way to play the major scale across the whole guitar neck; using 5 main shapes as the basis. There are alternative shapes (which I will explain at a later date), but these shapes provided are the simplest to use and leave no holes in the guitar neck. I've shown them in the key of G, but I'd urge anyone checking this out to practice these in all keys

NOTE: These are not modes. The same shapes can be used as modes but in this instance they are all in the key of G and contain the notes G, A, B, C, D, E, F#.
