I´m always looking forward to new DT releases. Petrucci´s playing is always tasty and he writes amazing solos. My favs are still IAW and Awake though.
Yeah! I got the MusicMan Petrucci 6 Piezo MD. I also have the old Ibanez Jpm2, a Olp copy and a sterling copy. Good guitars!

I´ve been listening to this a lot. As always there´s goodies all over it but isn´t it obvious that the drums are way back in the mix? Of course the drummer isn´t producing anymore, it´s the guitar player. =) In my opinion the best drumsound they´ve had so far is way back on the “Awake” album.
One more thing. I heard Petrucci used Superior Drummer to demo the songs. How the hell do you program those parts? I wish I could do that. You guys on IG should demo that stuff. Or do you always have a drummer in your pocket? =)

Well, there´s a lot of bands like DT, Pain of salvation, Symphony X, LTE. And also prog bands like Flower Kings, Spocks Beard, Transatlantic and so on. I like those epic tracks with different time changes and stuff. But I also like slick stuff like Lukather. Intricate stuff like Meshuggah and wacky stuff like Freak Kitchens Mathias Eklundh. ****, you could say I like a lot. Love your guitar by the way!
