Its all the hype these days. šŸ˜€ Put simply, I think of it as facebook minus all the additional baggage. So its something like your FB status update which is broadcast to all your followers as well as the public timeline. In twitter you can also exchange direct messages.

It has tremendous business value for companies and aritsts IMHO. For example, the Line 6 twitter feed (http://twitter.com/Line6) offers you product updates, news, blah blah if you follow it. Similarly, Line 6 can track the “tweets” of its followers as well as the general public to find out what they are saying about its products. Same for artists.

I’m following Rick on twitter, and can get to know what he has for breakfast! šŸ˜®

    Hey Ro, šŸ™‚

From how Rick looks in his latest video, he ain’t having much for breakfast, lunch, or dinner these days!!! (LOL!) šŸ˜€ šŸ˜Ž šŸ˜‰ (-42 lbs. – WOW! – Actually, when dieting, a solid breakfast is VERY important for metabolism regulation, energy, etc. – but you know what I mean!) šŸ˜‰

As far as “Twitter” goes, I’m clueless!!! šŸ˜® All I know is that Conan O’Brien (Late Night talk show host here in the States) recently had a hilarious skit poking fun of Twitter and how rirdiculous some people can get caught up in these “trendy tech-gizmos!” Anyways, I’m sure Rick (being a level-headed guy) knows what he needs his “Twitting” for, and will use it to best suit his needs. I hope people gain use from it without it unnecessarily eating up valuable time for other things (like in my case – WOODSHEDDING!!!) šŸ˜® šŸ˜‰

You a Conan fan Bill? I’m a huge fan myself. I really like Leno too and am glad he’ll be coming back in the fall.

    Hey Sean, šŸ™‚

Yes I love Conan’s comedy! šŸ˜€ I believe he got his big break as a staff writer for Lorne Michaels on Saturday Night Live. šŸ˜‰ I’ve always liked him (and NOT just cuz – like Leno – he’s from my home state of Massachusetts here in the States!!!) šŸ˜Ž

Absolutely right there Bill. I’m using it for what I can get out of it. I don’t(won’t) use Facebook so, as Rohan rightly said, it’s an extremely streamlined verion without a lot of the hassle which is far more preferable for me. Like the majority of things in life it’s good to take what you find useful and discard the rest, like the majority of ‘celebrity'(I hate that word) BS.

Hahaha thanks for the Conan links too Sean! šŸ˜€

Ahh I see. Well, I don’t think I’ll be using it then. šŸ˜€ I have a hard enough time with Facebook seeing as I never use it really. Myspace is enough for me and my simple mind.:p
