I picked up a webcam but am having trouble finding good software.
I tried recording a live stream to disk using Microsoft Expression Encoder, but had trouble getting it to work with multiple audio inputs. I’m using a POD for my tone, going through USB in my computer. When I set things up I was able to get the guitar tone on the video, but not the backing track. Then I swapped a few settings around and was able to get the backing track, but not the guitar tone. I could fire everything out of speakers and then record it with the camera’s mic, but the quality would be crap.
What software do you guys use to compose videos and get both a line-in from your guitar gear and your backing tracks?
When I search for webcam software I only find a bunch of really shady sites.
