Perfect Your Sweeping - Etude 1

Chris Feener 256 lessons

So our first etude features four six-string arpeggios.

The focus for now should be knowing where you are within every arpeggio. This is THE most imparative part of executing these types of arpeggios cleanly. What I mean by this is, don't get lost on the ether of "my fingers go up, my fingers go down". Break each and every arpeggio into two halves and FEEL this mid-point. The "mid-point" occurs after the first two groups of sixteenth notes in each bar.

Analyzing 16th note arpeggios in this fashion will tighten up your rhythm in fantastic ways.
