This riff is a great example of pure "groove metal". It just grooves!
Just like in the last lesson, we're again focusing on using triplets. We have a good mix of both quarter and eighth note triplets.
There is no palm muting here except for on the rests. Be sure to let the Low E string ring out nice and open. As for the rests, try to mute with both your left and right hands. Do you see in the video how my left hand is slapping down on the strings to assist with the mute? The tighter your rests are, the tighter your playing will sound.
