Visualizing the Fretboard - Mixolydian Scale Application

Tom Quayle 164 lessons

Now we move onto the Mixolydian Scale. In the key of G our Mixolydian Scale starts on the note D at the 10th fret of the low E string.

When we apply our fingerings sequence we can see that the scale starts on the first of our fingering no.1's. So, we get three fingering no.1's, followed by two fingering no. 2's, then one fingering no. 3.

Again, this scale follows the sequence exactly as outlined in the 'Fingerings Explained' video.

We've now moved up a fair chunk of the neck relying on only 3 fingerings to remember.

Next on to Aeolian.
