Song wise, there’s no answer. But the 3 players I most closely sound like nowadays are Matt Bellamy, Steph Carpenter and David Gilmour.

Again, that’s mainly due to the online community. I’m talking about the game. To play the game. Not that people are sad enough to get so good at a game it isn’t actually fun to play against them (it becomes more of a sport)

Can’t enough of the guy. And Periphery’s new vocalist is probably the best metal vocalist I’ve ever heard. His note choices and uses of screaming are superb.
Personally didn’t like the boxy sounding reverb, but your tone besides that is excellent.
The section at about 1:45 ish, is brilliant, may be flashy, but I liked it.
Overall playing is great. Liked the return to the repeated motif. The middle 8 sort of bit with the whammy bar pull ups made a cool contrast to the rest of the, I suppose, happy mood of the song.
/votesI wasn’t referring to the online communites really. I was mainly refering to the actual mechanics of the game.

Anyway,. I dislike almost everything about him. His playing technique are brilliant, but that’s it.
As a man, he’s arrogant, and self obsessed. As a player, he’s a repeatitive, classical wannabe. All IMO but you know that.
And Jesus man lay off the god damn doughnuts.

I know what you mean maate. The fast action game is quite fun online or with friends. But to me, a decent FPS isn’t just about being quick. I feel like COD is more like a competition of who has the fastest reactions and who can press a button quickest, whereas other format shooters seem to have much more to them, and actually relate more to where/when they are set. It just seems to me that you could take COD4, put any other time/place/situation ‘skin’ on it, and it’d be the same. For me, (sorry to refer to it again but) GoW is so much more. It just seems that COD got raped when it went into the “Super nerd” territory, where everyone who played it online was so good at it it was like they were playing just to be good, not because they liked the game (I’m talking more of the COD1/2 era)
Sorry about the rant, I’m slightly drunk and really don’t like COD4 :p
I found that COD4 doesn’t stand up to the depth and control you have in other shooter games of late. I really dislike the fact that it’s basically “fire sidestep behind a wall run”, whereas something like Gears of War has a cover system that really makes you think about your surroundings. I feel it’s just the same old, tired, worn out formula with a fancy new paintjob.
It took me perhaps a couple of hours playing to get used to the 7th string. I like playing 6 string guitar stuff on my 7, especially downtuned stuff, because the baritone scale and EMGs really give lower tunings definition.
Sean that cat is nuts. Although, my sister’s cat actually uses the toilet. I mean, to urinate. I was babysitting my nephew at her house, went upstairs to the bathroom and the cat is taking a piss. My reaction was something along the lines of:
“Oh. Didn’t know there was….uh… yeah….imma go now”
