In Exercise 2, we'll be incorporating a different arpeggio in each bar. First A Major, then G Major, then F# minor, then E Major.

As always, be mindful of the smooth gliding motions with your picking hand when sweeping. Also, you'll notice that a few of the notes will be tapped with your picking hand. The tapped notes are indicated with a "T" marking.

Tapping mixed with sweeping can present a little difficulty when switching back and forth between the two. The best way to adapt to this is letting your picking hand pick while it's moving to where it needs to be. For example, if you're sweep picking and then need to tap a note, while your hand is moving toward the tapped note, let your pick glide through the strings as you move. This technique might be tricky at first, but the more you practice it, the more precise your hand will become.
