Sequencing Pentatonics - Examples 7: a-d

Richard Lundmark 307 lessons

Now the fun begins!

Tapping sequences in the pentatonic scales is something that has been an integral part of my playing style since early on, brought about by guys like Reb Beach, Greg Howe and Nuno Bettencourt.

There are of course several different approaches to this as well, so once again, this is more my take on it.

The most tricky part of these examples is to think in two boxes at the same time. This might take some time to get used to. You will find many, many examples of my use of pentatonic tapping in musical contexts in my other tutorials, such as NeoBlues or Super Continental, or timing and note value variations. Check them out!
