In this lesson, we'll be learning the riff that represents the main theme of the song.

All notes in this section will be played as sextuplets (16th note triplets). If you look at each beat in a given measure, you'll see that there are six notes grouped together for every beat.

When you look at the tablature, you'll see many "P.M." markings. These markings indicate palm muted notes. So anytime you see that marking, be sure to slightly rest the palm of your picking hand on the strings. Most of the notes in this exercise are palm muted, however be sure to observe bars 1, 2, 5 and 6 for notes that are played without palm mutes.

Lastly, be sure to play this entire riff with alternate picking.
