String Skipping Arpeggios - Part 4

Richard Lundmark 307 lessons

Time for tapping!

In this example I use the same major and minor patterns found in the very first part, only adding the root and fifth in the right hand to create a tapping arpeggio. You could of course find numerous other ways of playing tapping arpeggios, but these examples are a good starting point.

Personally I always tap upwards, but if you are accustomed to using the Van Halen/Satch kind of downwards tapping, feel free to try it out that way as well. I do advocate everyone to at least try out the upwards approach (as discussed in my tapping tutorial) since that will most often help you play cleaner.
