Lastly, we are going to merge descending and ascending together. In lengthy tapping runs, it is likely you will both ascend and descend through scales, as you can only do one or the other for so long until you run out of notes!

Try this exercise in different positions. Play the same shape at the lower end of the fretboard, and also at the higher end of the fretboard. It is very important that you get your fingers accustomed to tapping cleanly on any part of the fretboard.
