In this lesson, I'm going to go over a few tips to help you practice efficiently. The goal when you practice is to make the most progress within the shortest time possible. These tips will help you do just that!

Tip #1: Have a dedicated practice area.
It's very important that you are not distracted while you practice. Find a place where you can fully concentrate and focus.

Tip #2: Divide your practice time.
Whether you have many hours to practice or just 20 minutes, make sure you focus on different aspects of your playing, especially your weak areas.

Tip #3: Practice slowly!
This is an absolute must when you practice. In order for your mind and fingers to properly learn something, you need to practice at reasonable tempos. Speed will come naturally the better you get, but it's important to keep things slow while you learn new concepts and techniques.

Tip #4: Take notes of your progress.
If you take notes of your progress, you'll have a better understanding of the things you need to work on. You'll have a way to measure your playing so you can keep setting new goals for yourself.

Tip #5: Have fun!
The most important tip of all. Always remember the reason why you play the guitar. Try not to ever get too frustrated while you practice. Be patient while you learn and have a great time!
