PART 3: A Play on Rhythm
Bars 13-16
At 150BPM, some of the rhythms found within bars 13-14 may cause some frustration. Be sure to play these slow and REALLY examine where the beats are, the durations (especially dotted 8ths) and be sure not to rush. Per Nilsson's fusion-esque rhythm abilities are what set him apart, and the reason for that is his execution of these rhythms are conventional (for metal) and again, offer a fairly refreshing break from straight 16th/triplet rock licks.
