Lets deal with group 2. This group incorporates alternate picking with slurs. It will feel a little awkward to start with but as long as you keep to a nice tempo you'll be fine.
The first pattern involves picking the first two notes on every string and hammering the third note. When descending simply reverse the pattern.
It is imperative that you observe the rhythmic value of every note to keep it consistent and under complete control. Also, aim to play every note at the same volume.
