Pick-Stroke Uniformity - Lick 4

Chris Feener 256 lessons

Finally, lick 4 kinda mixes things up. This exercise begins with an up-stroke to allow for our economy to "reset" before hitting the alternate picked measure in bar 2 with a down stroke. Practice bar 1, first, to a metronome, before moving forward. While bar 2 features a fairly standard alternate picked descending lick, we still want to set it up properly so that it begins perfectly on beat 1 of that measure.

That's it for this month, folks! Have fun, and hopefully you take from this tutorial, the ability to "smooth out" your lines with a more uniform approach to each note!
